Project Summary
Keystone Centennial Science Lab is the latest addition to Centennial Campus at N.C. State University where TM Engineering provided full service CMT services, retaining wall design, and performing Special Inspections as required by the City of Raleigh Inspections Department for the three story laboratory and its accompanying parking deck.
Project Description
The North Carolina State University Centennial Campus Science Building included construction of a three story, multi-wing laboratory and educational facility and parking deck. TM Engineering Inc. provided engineering consulting services throughout the planning stages and into construction testing and inspection for the project. The Client for this project was Keystone Corporation, Michael Blount. Services Provided included: • Observe site preparation prior of placement of fill • Performed classification and testing of controlled fill materials • Verify use of proper materials, densities, and lift thicknesses during placement of and compaction of fill • Retaining wall design, inspection and testing • Foundation inspection • Special Inspections • Steel reinforcing inspections • Concrete sampling and compressive strength testing • Inspection and proofrolling of subgrade and base course for pavements • Coordination of structural steel and fire proofing inspections
